Meet Your Physical Therapist

Meet Dominique Jones, PT, DPT

Founder of Mind in Motion Physical Therapy|Psychologically Informed Pain Practitioner (PIPP)

I'm Dominique, a physical therapist who believes that understanding your pain is just as important as knowing how to move.

After nearly a decade of clinical experience, I've seen how frustrating it can be to try treatment after treatment without feeling like anyone has considered the whole picture.

I created Mind in Motion Physical Therapy to offer a more personalized approach, one that takes time to listen, considers the many factors influencing persistent pain, and helps people develop greater confidence in their bodies.

Why I Started Mind in Motion

Because You Deserve More Than Another Exercise Sheet

My goal is to help you understand your body, build confidence in movement, and feel more equipped to participate in the life you want to live.

Throughout my career as a physical therapist, I've worked with people facing many different movement challenges, conditions, and goals. But one experience kept standing out: people living with persistent pain who had already tried so many things and still felt stuck.

They had attended physical therapy, completed exercises, undergone testing, or explored other treatments. Yet many were still searching for a better understanding of their pain and a way to move forward with confidence.

Over time, my work led me to focus more deeply on persistent pain and the many factors that shape our experiences. Movement matters, but so do the nervous system, sleep, stress, daily routines, previous experiences, and how safe we feel using our bodies.

That's why I created Mind in Motion Physical Therapy. I wanted to offer care that gives people time to be heard, helps them understand what's happening, and connects personalized movement with meaningful education and practical support.

My Approach to Care

Looking Beyond Symptoms to Understand the Whole Person

Pain is complex, and your experience is shaped by more than one factor. That's why my approach considers not only how you move, but also your nervous system, daily habits, personal experiences, and the activities that matter most to you.

I believe meaningful physical therapy starts with understanding your story and building a plan that makes sense for your life.

01

Listen First. Understand Your Story.

Your experiences, concerns, and goals deserve to be heard.

Before developing a plan, I want to understand how pain has affected your daily life, what you've already tried, and what you're hoping to accomplish.

Your care should start with your priorities, not just a list of symptoms.

02

Connect the Whole Picture.

Persistent pain can be influenced by movement, nervous system sensitivity, stress, sleep, previous experiences, and many other factors.

Together, we explore how these pieces may relate to your experience.

Understanding these connections helps us develop a more personalized approach to movement, education, and self-management.

03

Build Confidence Through Understanding and Movement.

My goal is to help you develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence to participate more fully in everyday life.

Through individualized movement strategies, practical pain education, and ongoing guidance, we work toward meaningful goals at a pace that considers your needs.

You are more than your symptoms. Your care should reflect that.

Your Experience Matters

Care That Starts With You

Physical therapy should feel like a collaborative process. Whether you're exploring individual virtual sessions or a more comprehensive program, the goal is to help you understand your options and participate actively in your care.

Step 01

Step 02

We Create a Personalized Direction

Based on your needs and the service you choose, we develop movement strategies, education, and recommendations relevant to your situation.
